IT'S NOT AS HARD AS YOU MAY THINK!!!

Follow these simple instructions and you will get up and running on ebay! Now firstly sign up with Ebay by Registering with Ebay.
I HAVE INCLUDED STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS HOW TO SELL ON EBAY BELOW SO YOUR FIRST STEP WOULD BE TO REGISTER WITH EBAY WHICH IS EASY JUST REGISTER BY CLICKING BELOW ON EBAY SELLER THEN SAVE THIS PAGE AND COME BACK AND I'LL HELP YOU WITH YOUR NEXT STEP, IT'S NOT THAT HARD I'LL HELP YOU NO WORRIES!!

OK SO YOU HAVE REGISTERED WITH EBAY NOW THIS IS THE NEXT STEP: -
NOW THE NEXT STEP 2.

So you have registered online with Ebay.

Now you are ready to list some items.

Click on Sell the top tab to the right of your screen.

Then click on Start to Sell.

This will then prompt you to type in a couple of words to describe your item. Be specific here, for example, if you were selling a toy fire truck, put in toy truck, the more specific the better search results you will get and the more ebayers will look at your item.

· Then click on Start Selling.

· Now ebay will show you suggested catagories, now take a look through the list and tick which one or two you think is best for your item. Now if you really are not sure I suggest you open another window on your computer and bring up Ebay again and actually search through the search bar for an item like yours, so type in toy truck, now see what comes up, how many items and in what section are most of them and if there are alot in that section do they have bids on them? Once you have found these items this is the section you should be listing your item in. If you are unsure how to see what section they are in, it will be listed at the top of the page, see Home; Buy;Toys, Hobbies; Building Toys; Search Results for 'toy truck' Also remember that if you do list your item in two categories that your fees will be doubled, so make sure it's really necessary before listing in two categories.

LOOK HERE ON EBAY SELLER AGAIN TO SEE WHAT I'M REFERRING TOO AND MAYBE PUT IN A SEARCH TO SEE THE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES -
MORE DETAILS on eBay WILL FOLLOW ON THE NEXT SECTION - Keep this page open

NEXT STEP 3.

Next click on continue button.

Next is the Title Section and Sub Title Section. Your Title should be simple, clear and to the point. Eg. Red Fire Truck Cast Iron.

If you need more description in your Title then use the Sub Title section, remembering you are charged extra for using this section.

Next is the Item Condition. Now click on the drop down bar and select which best describes your item.

Item Specifics is the next section. Fill in which sections you will need to describe your item and give as much information as possible, as this helps with less questions from your buyers.

Pictures is the next section. (Now if you haven't already taken a picture of your item now is the time too, just leave your page open and take your photo with your digital camera and save it to your computer or if you have a printed photo scan it and save it to your computer)

Next click on Add Pictures (eBay may prompt you to download their programme here, if so, go ahead and do that, it won't take long) then click on the No.1 box where it has Add Pictures in a box your computer files will be brought up, then you select the file where your picture/s have been saved and then double click on the picture you want, and the photo will appear in the editing larger box. Here you can have a play if you need to cut the picture, rotate it if it's upside down! etc, otherwise leave well enough alone! If you want to add more pictures just click on the next box No.2, but do remember that you will be charged extra for all additional photo's!

NEXT IS STEP 4.

Next you click on Upload and a box will come up in the middle of your screen and show you the % of the upload.

The next option to tick is Gallery Picture, this may cost a little but in my opinion is worth it, as it displays a small picture besides your listing when ebayers are searching, and ebayers maybe tempted to take a look if the picture and title interests them.

The next step to do is to Describe the item you're selling, with this step you can be adventurous and change the font and size and colour if you wish, otherwise just do your best to describe your item. Some pointers to bear in mind would be: Title, Size of the item, Condition of the item, Brand of the item. You have the option to click on preview to see how the description will look when listed on ebay.

The next option you have is for the background of the description, Listing Designer. This is up to you, it can make the description and item appealing but, there is a small fee for using this option. It’s up to you.

You may wish to see idea's of Listing Designers here and then come back again -

Next option is the Visitor counter, this will show you and other ebayers how many ebayers have brought up your page on their computer, this can be an indication on how your item is going and how many people are interested in it. I find it helpful and a guide to as whether I’ve listed the item in the correct area, because if no one is looking at my item, it will be less likely to sell and you can change where you have it listed as long as it’s not 12hours before the auction ends. You also have the option of having a hidden counter that you can only view and not other ebayers.

The next option is Choose how you'd like to sell your item. You can sell it on a online Auction or a Fixed Auction. Online Auction means you start your item at a lower price and ebayers bid on it and it may get a higher price or sell at your starting price, this is the common way to sell items, as people aren’t put off by a high starting price. You can also at the same time have a Buy It Now option on your item, this is where you would put a higher price that you know someone would be willing to pay for your item. There are extra fees involved for choosing this option as well as your Online Auction. A Fixed Auction is a Buy It Now option, that shows the Buy It Now button on your listing and ebayer’s can only bid on it at that Fixed Price, they can click on this button at any time and do not have to wait for the auction to end. This is a good option for popular items that you know you will get a certain price for or if you are wanting to sell an item quickly, with the hope that someone will Buy It Now. These options are for you to decide.

To have a look at Buy It Now Auctions just click to Ebay here and then come back -

You can choose from 1 day to 10 days for the time your Online Auction goes for. Please take in account whether your auction will run over the weekend time as this is when most people are around to surf ebay and you may have more people looking at your item.

Most people select the Start Item Immediately option as this doesn’t involve any cost, but it’s up to you if you want it to start at a certain time so it finishes at a time when you think people would be more willingly to bid on your item. Usually if you start an item at 8.00am in the morning it will finish in _days time at 8.00am in the morning. Just check when you list it and the finishing time will be displayed.

Give buyers postage details is the next section. If you can work out the postage say a flat rate to anywhere in your country then that’s a good option to choose, as it will save you time answering questions on postage. You must enter a valid weight and dimensions in this section. This helps the buyer get an idea of postage costs. The same with International postage if you choose to send your item also internationally see if you can work out a flat rate to any International country as this saves yourself time.

Item location is a good idea especially if your item is for pick-up.  Other things you'd like buyers to know – this option is up to you, for your first few items you can just leave this blank, if you end up selling a lot of items you may want to offer a refund policy, it’s up to you.

YOUR GETTING THERE SHOULDN’T BE MUCH MORE TO COMPLETE

SEE BELOW - YOU CAN HAVE A REST IF YOU WISH JUST LEAVE YOUR PAGES OPEN AND GRAB A COFFEE??
STEP 6.

Additional checkout instructions. This is a great spot to put in your Payment options. You would type it as: For ______ (country you live in) I accept PayPal, Direct Deposit and Money Orders. For International buyers I only accept PayPal. Click on the Continue button. Review your listing, this section let’s you see how it’s all going to look. It also gives you extra options if you wish to choose them. You can preview your item and see how it will look.

This section also lets you know what fees you will be charged for listing your item. At this stage you can go back and unselect extra items if you wish, you will not loose all your information if you just use the back button or edit listing button at the bottom of the screen.

If everything looks good and your happy with it all then you’re ready to hit the final button, which isList Your Item.
